FRESH Star Fruit (Carambola) exporter contact information
Miller CCID Co., Ltd., Yin Chan International Develop Co., and Prime Wealth International Co. Ltd. are examples of fresh star fruit (carambola) exporters to North America according to TaiwanTrade, the official B2B site of Taiwan ran by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, which is Taiwan’s biggest non-profit trade promotion organization.
On the other hand, 21Food, the Chinese number one food B2B e-marketplace indicated that some exporters of carambola from Taiwan include Jaan Wang industry, Co. and Lytone Enterprise Inc. According to Supplier, Harvest Grower International Co., Ltd., and Li Yuan Agricultural Trading Co., Ltd. were featured as exporters of fresh carambola from Taiwan to North America.
Unfortunately, most of these companies do not have websites and only list their profiles on leading trade platforms such as Alibaba, Suppliers, and Taiwantrade. As such, determining accurate details regarding the contact information for these exporters, specifically email addresses is a challenge since the only contact details available across these key platforms in location, the nearest port, and phone or fax number.
RESEARCH STRATEGY
To get details about fresh starfruit (carambola) exporters into the U.S. from Taiwan, with focus on direct growers or shippers, we started by examining Taiwan’s largest trading marketplaces, Taiwantrade, Suppliers.com, and Alibaba. These vendors focus on the international market and feature contact information for the companies exporting fresh carambola outside Taiwan. Through this approach, we identified a few if the leading companies in the market. However, we were not able to retrieve the contact and website information of these companies.
Other than the phone and fax numbers included in most of the trading databases examined, we tried searching through each company's website. Unfortunately, most of those exporters did not have a functional website. We found out that their websites are either co-hosted with the trading databases. As such, most of those companies featured websites co-hosted within the Taiwantrade database. As such, finding company contact information proved difficult. We tried find the email addresses of the identified companies through Hunter.io, an email finder but we were able to find just one email because most of the companies’ URL addresses were either broken or inaccessible.
We then searched for carambola exporters by using profiling databases such as LinkedIn and social media platforms like Facebook. Unfortunately, we could not find detailed information regarding these companies on social media or LinkedIn. For instance, Lytone Enterprise's LinkedIn page did not include an overview of the company. Not to mention that their website is in Taiwanese and does not feature an English version. Other companies’ websites did not open despite posting a link online.
